Ship Integrity

Well i just realized there is a "ship integrity" in repair.

1% repair on my viper cost around 2250 CR.

I dunno if it worth to be repaired because it's very expensive.
Do you know that feature?

Ship integrity is like a general health state of your ship. From the FAQ:

" Ship Integrity represents the overall wear and tear your ship has accrued whilst traversing the galaxy. It represents the over time stresses and strains put upon your ship, and requires a specific kind of engineering to diagnose and fix. If left unchecked, this will affect your ships overall hull strength.

The cost of repairing your ships integrity is based on the size of the hull and the amount of wear, so keeping tabs on it is advised to avoid a large bill. "

I aso read somewhere else that it affects the subsystems functionnalities as well, but found no confirmation of that.

I've mentioned this in other threads multiple times. Repair All _SHOULD_REPAIR_ALL_ . If FD is adamant about hiding this integrity in a submenu, then change the repair shortcut on the main station screen to "repair subsystems". Ideally though, they would just change repair all to actually do what it says.

I haven't tested this but hopefully they do cap the total amount of repair / re-arm and integrity repairs to the insurance totalling of your ship. Otherwise insurance fraud would be rampant. (it already is rampant but for other dumb reasons like being able to sell damaged parts at retail values and then buy them back, last i heard about people doing that).

Thanks.
It's something very expensive when you are not a trader.

I will simply change my ship when the integrity is low.

I noticed that ship integrity goes down when travelling long distances at high speeds in hyperspace. I wanted to see how fast my Asp whould go and I got bored after it reached 1,600c and my ship integrity went down about 20% and the repair bill was something like 200k. I don't want to try it in my Anaconda...
