Ship Interiors

Its not just about the interior, to be able to move around the ships you also need to have first person animation sets of the characters motion, and Im guessing theres no point to doing that till they have established what else the characters will be doing in the world. It would entail a lot of work on the animation tree and then the anims themselves of all the possible actions the player can perform. To do it well takes time. Look how clunky X-Rebirth feels when you are in 1st person mode? No thanks.

Quite correct, but if you're going to make it possible at all, then when you model the ships you have to take that possibility into account right from the start - and that means at least blocking out ALL the internals at the same time as you design the external skin mesh of the model.

That video is awesome! It's a shame they have removed the destruction from the game, would add a very nice realism and sense of fragility to our ships instead of just having a number which when it gets to 0; you're dead.
There is destruction, last time I killed a anaconda, I could see teh destruction.

My Conda has visible damage, I don't think they modeled damage for other ships in game
