Ship jump distance ?

Hi is there someplace where I can see which ships have the which jump distances ? I know once you purchase one it is readily available on your cockpit screen, but need to know where to look so I can figure out what & when I can purchase & its jump capabilities. Thanks for any info or advice.

However, the jump range varies not just with the class of FSD you fit, but also with the weight of other equipment you have.
The Hauler is listed with a jump range of 10.46, here is one with 27.54:

Cool, but is there a limit? Reason I ask is I have a friend & we are trying to play together, but he purchased the game later than me so we are about 140 light years apart so are trying to meet up together.
I mean does each ship have a max FSD we can outfit our ships with ?

Yes, for each ship, the maximum range FSD will be an A class in the largest size that will fit. (A2 in the Hauler example above).
I don't know if there is a compilation of the maximum ranges available for each ship.
I think the Asp has the greatest range, but that costs a lot more than a Hauler!
If you are trying to increase range cheaply to meet up, the simplest things to do are:
- Sell off your weapons. Each ton in weight saved helps, especially in a small ship.
- Update all components to class D. D is the lightest weight for each component.
- Update the FSD as much as you can afford.

Each ship will hit a maximum, based on:
1) Available compartment size
2) Available funds to spend

You do not have to have the same size FSD in order for one or both of you to journey to meet the other. All you need to do is agree to meet in a certain system and both start to head there. I do recommend a fuel scoop. They pay for themselves in short order once you get the hang of using them.
Once you meet up, you can decide on jump routes based on whichever of you has the most limited jump capacity.
