So first of all, I'd really love to see ship kits for the courier. I realize this is tricky as it's hard to add much onto one without making it look ugly instead since it's already fairly streamlined, but I do think it could be done and it could be nice.
Also, on the ship engine detail colors I think something really dark would be nice. I like having a dark ship that at least is less visible against the backdrop of space. While it may not actually provide any advantages or anything, it fits well with the idea of a small ship capable of scouting and doing serious damage in battle. Inspire a bit of fear in those pirates as that black ship comes in fast and stays on them no matter what they do, you know? (That and honestly I just like it.) However, contrasting with my paint is the engine's quite bright exhaust. Now, an actual black exhaust might be going too far, though I'd prefer it. Perhaps a dark gray would be more reasonable if black is too much?
Speaking of that black ship paint, one thing no paint changes is the bright blue highlights it uses around certain edges. IRL if such ships were real and this were mine I'd pull it apart and clip the leads to those lights quite frankly. (It's sad how often I have to do this actually. And so many things use such ultra-bright blue LEDs...) Assuming that's left in on purpose to keep it from completely going black and maybe sort of disappearing, what about letting us change those details? For example, instead of the courier's normal blue, I'd at least like it better if I could have red. I'm sure other people would like to see other colors. Pink, yellow, whatever, I don't know. This isn't limited to the courier -- some other ships have highlights that seem to more or less be completely unaffected by the paint.
