Ship kits?

So I've just noticed on the Livery tabs description in the outfitting that it mentions Ship Kits...any one got a clue what these might be or when they'll be implemented? When I first seen it, the immediate thought was "Pimp my Spaceship" or boyracer modified Federal Corvettes complete with humongous rear wings....

Looks like only a few ships will be getting them at first. Like older ships. It could be pretty soon as in the next 2 major patches.

I really, really, REALLY, AAALLY hope FDev doesn't charge real-world currency for these. As it stands now, there is a complete lack of incentive in ED. Aside from working to get a bigger, badder ship, and bigger, badder weapons, there's not a whole lot in the way of customization. Something like a string of missions, or ranking up with respective minor factions to unlock cosmetics would go a long way.

But alas, I think the fact that the ship kits tab currently only has a Frontier store button says enough.

Oh, I would not bet on it being anything but Frontier Store swag for your space caddy....going to be a let down if I don't get curb fealers for my Annie...she needs them.

I'm an imp in a Corvette, so I'll get slaves ti do that one for me. As much as I love the look of the Cutter, aside from trading and exploring (if you're brave) the Cutter doesn't seem much cop aside from being a tradeship which is such a shame.

Take special note of the Eagle. You may notice something... different, about it. :)

I'm sure they'll get along well with the souped-up iCourier boys with the Halfords job lot of fog lights.
