Ship-launched fighters play a fun role in exploring planet surfaces; buzzing through canyons is a blast.

But I'd like to fly an exploration version of the SLF; no weapons, a larger canopy and more powerful scanners - and perhaps a second seat, too - which would enhance the experience of Beluga, Anaconda and Cutter pilots who prefer honk over pew.

Think of this feature as a deep sea submersible of space; might be even better when atmospheric planetary landing arrives.

And yes, please offer the ship-launched explorers in yellow.

Yep, would be nice, made a post about this very idea a while ago. Multi-pew being such a flop though, I doubt FD will ever touch it again *cough*powerplay*cough*CQC*cough*wings*cough*.

Yes, that would be fun - but not just take your buddie for a ride. I want cooperative exploration. For example, the guest scans with a turreted scanning attachment and tags points of interest while the pilot flies and also scans with the forward-facing scanner. #morethanpew
