Ship location info

I've had a problem recently when I docked my Lakon and went mining in a Cobra - I forgot where I left the Lakon!

The only way to find information about your docked ship's location is to dock at a station - and that station has to have a shipyard. If there is no shipyard - you can't look at "Ship locations".

Could we please get a better way of looking up you the location of your assets? Preferably whilst I'm in space!

Also, now that I'm in the correct system and docked in a station with a shipyard, the "Ship locations" panel doesn't tell me what station my ship is at. So now i have to trawl through them all and check each station for the ship. There are 9 stations (although only 4 have shipyards).

I know i should have made a note - but more in depth information in game would be helpful.

I have found the location of my free Eagle looking at the Galaxy Map - you have a blue ship icon next to the system you have stored your ship. The same goes for the system map - it is marked next to the station it is parked.

Just to add to that...

Use the Galaxy Map to find the ship icon.
Use the System Map there to show you what port your ships are at.
And select the Port in question, and then click on the 'Ships' tab, as seen in the screenshot. That's all there is to it. (And use shipyards 'Locations' tab, when working.)
