Ship military slots

Could military module slot have a boost.

E.g any hull or module reenforcement or guardian shield boost installed in a military slots get 10 or 20% Increase in total strength

Would help when fighting thargoids large intercepters

Also, like they need any more of a boost.

Salvage/Industrial slots for those dedicated ships on the other hand...

Eh, no need to buff the cargo size, it'd already be an extra slot that can only take a specific thing, and that's fine.

Alternatively, if you want to call something g like the premiere miner of (a size), figure out a way to boost size 1 hardpoints with mining lasers, and mining lasers only, as size 2. Now you have the mining power of good hardpoints, but can't stick stronger weapons in. Or something.

I would rather see them get rid of the modular construct modeling in toto and just go with volumetric design...

That would be a balance nightmare. This is one thing they did right and learned from Frontier. Frontier had complete freedom with how you filled your space and there were some extreme builds made. If anything, I think the disparity between combat and other builds is because they relaxed that philosophy too much when they released module restrictions and added a bunch of combat modules.
