Ship naming

Have I missed it or isn't it possible to name your ship? Surely my trusty space truck deserves to have a name.

My in game name is Hiigara. I sooo want a capital ship one day and it will of course be....THE PRIDE OF HIIGARA

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to mention that. Nicely done. Ship naming is easy and quick to implement and should really have been since multiple ship ownership came in. Would be nice if the game automatically named insurance replacements with a 2, 3, 4, etc :) Although you should probably be able to change the name whenever you want to what ever you want anyway. Duplicate names are probably fine IMO.

My ships blow up too many times to keep naming them. I have no idea what's wrong with all of them, I clearly asked for no lemons at showroom.

How do they intend to moderate it though? If there is one thing that I know, it's that people, especially me, are terrible at naming things.

I hope this is incoming and not one of those things left on the cutting room floor. It would be a nice personal touch.

"I'm Han Solo, Captain of a YT-1300 492727ZED transport ship" ...Doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?

New additions to the "database" can be pored over and responded to if they are inappropriate for any reason. Start of with a list of offensive words and filter some out right at the start and then check out those that fall through that filter. You would also have to include number substitutions I gu3ss.

i hanger would be good enough for me, so we dont have to sell modules we want to take off our ships for new modules, we can keep them and stick them on other ships etc

I think they should add - (x) for each death...

So... Ship Pandora - 3 is the 3rd life of the ship, and next time it blows up it become Pandora - 4

This is an excellent idea!

Me: "This is Commander Trashberg in ShoddyBucket 79, final approach... honestly... requesting landing permission..."

Tower: "Oh, no. Not again..."
