I don't understand why this occurred; I had just launched my Sidewinder within a Federation space station and the heat went immediately to critical overheat. I wasn't even outside before the ship was stone dead and soon so was I. I have a 2B powerplant. Is this a known bug or could someone have griefed me from within the station? I lost 3 units of cargo and had to pay a penalty tax. I didn't see any indications that I was being shot at or any other warnings other than the heat overload. Thanks for any insights.

Did you engage silent running?
Can't see him using FSD or boosters inside a station?
Neither can I see his temp rising that amount during manoeuvring normally inside a station with silent running on.
I would guess he got roasted by the exhaust of a passing ship.

Sidenote - Powerplant size doesn't matter, 2D does the same heat as a 7D. What matters is grade so A grade is better than B/C/D/E grade.
To the OP - Yeah probably what others said, silent running most likely culprit of sneakly overheating...
