Looking at the various paint jobs, I'm desperate for FDev to go along the lines of the artist Chris Foss. Just google 'Clear Air Turbulence Ian Gillan Band' images or Chris Foss Diary of a Space Person. There would be a *serious* amount of money spent.

I agree, besides the squadron paint job style the paintjobs so far have been really uninspiring. You just need to look at the paintjob competition they held to see the huge variety of options available but we continue to see really generic designs.
Even packs they have already created for one ship in a family are missing for the other ships.
The "Expedition" paint pack for the Beluga is a perfect example of this. Where is the same pack for the Orca and Dolphin? Both have "Vibrant" packs and that is about it as far as anything marginally worth buying.

Funny how different people like different things.
As a Lakon T-Fan I have all the T6 paint packs except the Turbulence one. Looks quite poor to me but, of course, to each his own.
This post has wasted me an evening! Slightly off topic but I did your google as a former Ian Gillan fan and noted it was from his rock/jazz fusion period (yawn) but I thought "that picture reminds me of EE Doc Smiths Lensmen covers" because I'd missed the Chris Foss reference. Once I'd realised that it took me on an epic Wikipedia trail through the Lensmen and Asimovs Foundation series (he also did the covers for them). Ah, the nostalgia, I must re-read these books.

My favourite thing about the Pirate faction ones are their resemblance to a tiger. Now if only we could get rid of that stupid skull.
They designed some nice ones for the Cobra III. They need to get some paint jobs out like this for the big fish .......
I think this demonstrates the issue though, I don't find either of those very appealing.
Yup! never listened to the bands music, just love the artwork. We've got the EE docs etc with his work and trying to ensure they stay pristine as possible as publishers do tend to revise and revamp.
