Like he said ^

Were you playing Star Citizen before this? (where you can buy ships with real money) In ED you have to use game credits that you earn and buy it from a station that sells it. Then there's outfitting but I'll pause it there for now and let you figure it out...

Compras Paint con ARX: debes comprar el barco en el juego para ponértelo.

No te entiendo.

Let me try to say it more clearly for you. You have to play the game first and earn money in the game. The currency used is called "credits". With these "credits" you can buy ships in shipyards at stations. The Arx you spent is only for painting your ship different colours, not for buying the ship itself.

As others have said, Arx can only buy cosmetic items - repaints (ship skins), ship kits, dashboard ornaments, etc.

Buying a ship in a shipyard uses credits (not Arx) which you earn by playing the game, mining, trading, exploring, bounty hunting or missions.

via google translate, sorry:

(I hope that was OK, I have never studied Spanish.)

Me thinks someone is having a bit of fun toying with us.

Now, back to buying enough ARX to get me that fancy Fleet Carrier, I've been wanting. Damn, might need to head down to the corner store and get a loan on my car title to buy more ARX. Sheesh!

They posted a whining response to my post, slagging-off the game because of their male-bird-up in another thread:

So not a troll, just a ....

maybe its a translation thing?
I feel it's clear what you are paying for but then again I go through xbox
maybe it doesn't seem very clear when translated

If you look at their screenshot in their op you can see that the site (like the game) is localised in Spanish. There is just no catering for lazy comprehension or presumptions on the part of the user. It isn't just non-anglophones who make this mistake.

yea i get its translated locally, was wondering if the translation was somehow miss leading, as its so clear in english?

Maybe. He said he had been playing Star Citizen so I think he just assumed you could buy ships with real money like with that game.
