So, I got a simple mission, I finished the mission then I get away, and I recall the ship. Hostile settlement near, so I get a bit away in order to call the ship.
Like always - Murphy law is present in Oddy - the ship chose the ONLY place with rocks in the fraking PLANE landspot and obvious, I cannot get the SRV underbelly because the FDevs codded the landing sequence without playing the game - so, even if you are in a place where is a lot of space for the ship to land straight, so you can fit at will underbelly, nop, the ship will choose the only place with rocks so you cannot fit !
Usually I need to repeat 5 of 10 "boarding" sequences because the ship seems to be unable to select a decent spot for landing.... I switched the DBX for a ICourrier in order to avoid this trouble ( the DBX sit in his so you can approach only from 3 directions, but the ICourrier is a bit taller so is easier to get under - not a good trade since my DBX could do 60yl jump, and now I can do less than half...) . But now I only repeat 1 of 3, so.... is a bit better.
I was thinking - well, then let's put the SRV in that spot and force the ship to land in another place - or, at least, to land over srv.
But I underestimated the FDevs "skills" in codding the land sequence - the ship will come near, and will REFUSE to land, running away next !
Watch the vid and laugh !
