Quick question - when you upgrade to a new ship, can you sell your existing ship, or in order words, does your existing ship have any value when you get rid of it?
The resale value is taken into account with the price you see. Even if you add a ship module you will see the price of other ships go down because what you are trading in is worth more.
Your present ship is taken in PX, any additions are factored in to the price reduction on the new ship. However you will have to repurchase any upgrades for your new unit.
