Ship salvage

With all the abandoned ships floating in USSes all over the bubble, there should be a way to salvage them. Since boarding is out, I'd like to see something like core mining. Where you plant charges in strategic parts and break the ship up. Then send out the limpets to grab chuncks. (There could also be some materials, based on ship type.) Then you take the chunks to the search and rescue contact, report the location and sell the parts for scrap.

This can also be done on the planet's surface, but you'd have to plant the charges personally. And use the srv to ferry the parts to your ship.

You need scrapper-type ships, and some cargo movers. Maybe as NPCs...

You know... On second thought, let us plant the charges manually in space. Allow space walks. We already have boosters on our backs.

This can apply to core mining too. Allow space walking to place the charges. You can place them at more precise locations on the fissure and fine tune the charge strength after applied. And you really have to be fast to do them and get back to the ship. Doing so gives a much better yeild than normal core mining... But with the added risk of blowing yourself up
