Ship Schematics in Functions tab?

I was looking over the 1.6 changelog, and under the UI section this was one of the entries: Fixed the ship schematic in the functions tab from 'drifting'.

There are ship schemtatics in the functions tab? Since when? Have I been missing this the whole time?

I have a funny feeling that it's something to do with the outfitting screens...

I don't know, but it sure would be slick if there was a schematic that showed the location and status of modules.
