General Ship selection, but independent of previous one status

Hello, have you tried to select a new ship on different station, but you got "No, the other your ship has gargo, we can't reload it"
BUT ANYWAY you need to have such ship nearby and if deliver it to current place, the cargo anyway gonna be selled to station's lead faction profit.

Why not to have option to autodrop your saved cargo or keep it on the other ship/on a station, like modules?

There's been much discussion about this, that's not a route that FDEV have chosen to follow, players need to plan ahead unless they decide to change it.

Its a good question from a new player, because intuitively you would think leaving stuff on a ship should be fine, why not? It makes total logical sense. I should be able to park my loaded cargo ship and jump into my speedy little hop-around ship right? Absolutely.

Except... its a video game and this opens up a bunch of exploitable scenarios that maybe can be programed around blah blah blah. Frustrating but its how it is.

Sometimes I think they should just implement some of the thinking that was in Frontier. Leave the station with a hold full of slaves but no life support? Instant Fertilizer.

Leave a ship parked with slaves? Instant impound of ship + fines. Hold full of precious metals? On jacks with the landing gone. Hold full of explosives? Boom. Chemicals? Fine and massive repair bill and unfriendly. Biowaste? Don't even think about coming back.
