So i come back to elite to check out whats changed adapt my equipment loadout. i see that the bounties i had stocked up before the last patches are gone. Then i undock i my ship keeps spinning downwards. the bounties part i can live with however anyone know how i can give this spinning to stop?

Check your controls? Open up a training mission where you can pause the game and make sure the correct controllers are bound, etc and if necessary recalibrate them in Windows.
I think you left your flight assist off... 
you may have rotational correction switched off, check you key bindings for what you have it set to. With it off you wont spin with the station you'll stay stationary instead but because the station is moving and is your only frame of reference it will look like it is you that's drifting off to the side...
