Ship Transfer - Not only to Shipyards?

I would be damn nice if it could be made possible to transfer ships to planetary bases that don't have a shipyard.
Or any bases for that matter.

It this was to become possible, more bases could be made "home".

What, you want to be able to have your ship delivered to just anywhere on planet or moon? Or just dropped in empty space somewhere?

I'm trying to think of a way this would be remotely useful in any way except for abandoning ships, and there are far better ways to do it if you want to throw ships away.
