Maybe slightly, however if she is a talented voice actor, then it is quite understandable that a small team as frontier was initially uses someone that is easier to get ahold of then having to search for, find and hire someone else.
So understandable, I'd say.

The ship's voice is great; I only wish there were more variety in the game. Different voices for different ship manufactures, etc. That would be cool.

FD didn't claim it's celebrity VA, so I don't care much who's recorded it - voice just works (and yes, please, buyable alt voice packs). Record artists have used their family members and friends as long as affordable recording goes.

Also I just like it.
