Horizons Ship was going down like a rock

Hi,

just a few minutes ago I was landing on a planet and after I had to log out because my screen was flickering terribly. After restarting the game I found myself in SRV and my ship was in orbit (as it should be). I called it back because now I was not 123m away from target as before relog but 38km. Ship was going down but I could not proceed boarding. I had not enough space to go with the SRV below the boarding point.

What to do? Just put ship back to orbit and recall it a second time. This time my ship was going down really fast, like a stone. It crashed at the surface and got destroid. =8-0

My python is gone and I am sitting in my SRV alone on a planets surface.

I never saw before such a strong going down and a crash. Is this a bug? Gravitiy was at 0,04g.

Definitely sounds like a bug to me

It is a bug indeed. Several players encountered it. Contact support and they summon up your ship. Or, the fast way... Launch in the standard 64 bit game. As you cant be on the planets surface due to the lack of Horizons, you will find yourself in your ship in orbit. Then just log back on in Horizons and your adventures continue.

OK, ticket is already on the way. Hoping to get my ship back.

Unfortunately this procedure is not working. Trying to launch ED without Horizons I get a message that the version I am going to start has no planet surface rendering and my ship is destroid. I have to start a version with surface rendering. No chance to bypass this.

G'day,
yes it's a bug , terrible lonely feeling when your ship does that and your sitting in your SRV with no way of getting off the planet, happened to me several weeks ago. ED on you sending in a ticket, recognises the bug and will install you back in your ship in orbit.

Hi,

did you try to self destroy the srv ? Maybe it restores you in your ship
No I didn't had tried this. Then I would have to pay for restoring my ship. But if the crash is due to a bug then the support would restore it without rebuy costs.

Now, I got reply from support. My ship is restored and is waiting in orbit for my next log in. There must be something wrong (bug) because they could not find a log of my death (ship Crash) in the records of the database but my ship was definitely not alive.
