Ships Beta 1.5 64bit client contanstly upgrading?

Why is the 1.5 beta client (64bit) constantly asking for an upgrade and downloading itself over and over again?

Yep , me to , I am now trying to download it for the 6th time today , and I have not even started on Horizons yet.

Because , I had the 32bit version before , so as far as I understand , you cannot download the horizons update until you have the 64bit installed , and if I am wrong , I don`t care , as the problems with update compatibility I have been having , means that this is probably the way to go , for me at least.

actually hirozons only backers arent getting access via the launcher to the 64bit version ( only the 32 bit version) and then trying to run it with hirozons which is 2.0 is leading to the game basically not being playable, the inital menus seize up

So it seems kickstarter /life expansion holders are the only ones with access to 32 and 64 bit 1.5 and horizons. Fdev have really really screwed this up, paid good money and now cant access horizons beta

Solution give horizion beta purchasers access to 1.5 64bit pronto so they can run horizons. Quite simple as it is now its 1.4 and horizons

Actually I'd like to know why the item that appears in my launcher as 1.5 Ships Beta actually when it is running reports itself (and displays same) as elite dangerous 2.0 beta - even though it is a 32bit application in task manage? Isn't E D 2.0 really Horizons and isn't horizons supposed to be 64 bit only?

Yesterday I had the wrong launcher from steam, so what I did to avoid problems was to just uninstall ED and install the new launcher. Then the 32 bit client and Horizons beta appeared and I installed the beta, which seemed to work reasonably well (some disconnects and one crash while playing, but otherwise quite usable puttering around on the rover and trying out the Cobra Mk.IV). I have a lifetime pass bought a few months ago.

You only need to download the horizons update. You do not need to download 1.5 64bit version first.

They're the same client though, except steam launcher doesn't show the 2.0 one and if you try launching the 2.0 client through the 1.5 one you can't access planets.
