Horizons Ships for Elites?

I don't know if this has been discussed. I don't post on the forums much, but now that I am getting close to getting my 5th Elite over two accounts, I was thinking about elite rewards. I understand that there are buying discounts already and payment rewards for missions (I think) - but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to get a reward, an "Elite" ship that only elite players could earn or purchase as they became elite?

A trading ship for elite trading rank, an explorer ship for exploration and a combat ship that is for combat. I don't know if it would be a thing to make them better at those specific tasks or not, but what I'm trying to get too is a reward for all the effort that goes into earning elite. Something for players to aim for, that's more than just a title.

Lastly - a grand ship - one for earning triple elite.

I am interested in reading your thoughts and opinions on this.

I think the idea of some kind of in-game bonus sounds good. Maybe a dedicated engineer with a flat bonus? Increasing cargo capacity by 10%, or jump or scanning range or weapons efficiency?

I guess it's already been hashed out already... I thought more people would like the idea of some kind of reward for all that work.

Is Viper mk IV available for everybody?

I just thought that achieving Elite rank could be the means of anyone willing to get their paws on the one (or two?) exclusive/restricted ship(s).

Cobra mk IV (now backer exclusive) could be Trader one.
Viper mk IV (if now exclusive - if not, some new ship like Krait) could be Combat one.
Some new ship, something pretty small but fast with long legs (turbo Sidewinder mk III deLuxe?) could be Explorer one.
