Ships in the game

New to the forums, Just wanted to know what type of ships the game will have. and will the game follow the old ship names. eg

Cobra Mark 3
Cobra Mark 2
Adder
Krait
ferdelance
Boa
sidewinder
Viper (police)
Wolf (from amiga elite)
mamba
python

All I can remember

will there be thargoids as well

The full list has not yet been confirmed, however there is some speculation based on screenshots/interviews etc. http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Ships

In all cases there will be 25 playable ships to start. Then certainly others additional when there will updates

25 playable ships, so we should see more than 25 in the game.

Yes the war spaceships, of the empire and the federation (and of the alliance ?)

There are probably a few either planned for the initial release or an expansion pack that the good people at Frontier haven't let on about.

I wish they would do a "ship of the week" dev update with detailed info, screenshots and specs on each ship

Would nice to have a video introduction, using in-game rendering, would be fairly easy for them to use the various views while docked, minus the text... small VR tour of the cockpit... all with a voice over
