ships in USSs

Hey I don't get it ...

how come I see ships in SC and not those from USS ? ... what's the catch with that ? I enter USS and see lakon type-6 with escort .. that's not USS :D

ok .. let's say that you're right .. but come on ... sometimes you enter USS and there is only one ship .. sidewinder, viper, etc ...

Basically any ship in supercruise gives out such a big signature you can identify them relatively easily. Once they drop out into normal space they're much harder to pinpoint and scan. And if they go cold, even harder.
