I think there should be a ship's log or quest log that records where you have been and what missions you undertook and succeeded or failed at. Would be good to remember where you went last week without having to write it down in the real world...

Maybe a facility for writing notes in the ships computer would be good as well. Can have reminders about where the Black Market Outposts are or where Weapons are sold! I'm writing that stuff down at the moment but it's just not cool enough...
