Ships only have 8 l.y.jump range

Having been away from the game for a few weeks have returned to find none of my ships can jump more than 8 l y even though they show a jump range ok 40 l y

this occurs in both Horizons and Odyssey

It should remember the last setting you used - if yours keeps defaulting to economic then maybe a support request is in order as I can't see a setting in the "custom.4.0.misc" file in the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Player directory. (I could just have missed it because just about everything else has an entry.)

EDIT: It seems to be the "SystemConnectors" entry. In any case make sure that "custom.4.0.misc" isn't set to read-only.
