Ship's voice/on screen alerts - some random thoughts

Been thinking about how a little more flavour might be added to the game to allow identification of variance between systems.

More on-screen messages/ship's voice reminders would make a huge difference for me - I've included some examples below.
I'd make them easily turn on and offable for those that don't want them, however:

System arrival
You are now entering Federal Space under the control of [power title], you are marked as friendly
You are now entering Federal Space under the control of [power title], you are marked as hostile
Warning, the current system has "low security"
No data on system

On detailed scan
Brief HUD text showing a summary of the details on the object scanned - maybe planet type (rocky, icy, earthlike)
"Earth like planet scanned"
"Terraforming candidate discovered"
"Water world discovered"

On ship k-warrant scan
A brief flash of the value of the ship in bounty vouchers (nothing as cheesy as "kerching!" but you get the idea.

On cargo scan
A brief summary - "clean contents", "illegal goods discovered"

I can't remember as no one has fired one at me, but do we get a verbal "incoming missile"?

Whilst I like voiceattack (I have adjusted HCS voice pack to respond to certain mode inputs from the x52 and chatter back to me), it only responds to control inputs, not to the environment around me. Adding a little more information via the hud, and most importantly via the ship's voice would be and excellent improvement. With the graphics now appearing against Galnet news items, the game is beginning to flesh out nicely and this would add a little more flavour.

Some nice suggestions there, would add a lot of flavour (as you called it) for presumably little dev effort.
And yes we get a nice "incoming missile" notification on screen as well as a heart-stopping ping sound.

How about turning indicators:
"You are now turning left"
"You are now turning right"

Firing indicators:
"Warning, aggression initiated. You are now firing your multicannons"

:-D

Now that's just silly. However, a voice saying 'you muppet' when you crash would be funny. Or ' In 15light seconds, prepare to turn slightly left'.

Back on track, though. Any other tweaks I might have missed?

The Computer Reporting what the detailed surface scan revealed the planet/star to be, would be awesome

Like it, the game needs more of these little things which makes the game world feel more sophisticate! :)
