I have seen a few threads of people saying that they want to buy a new ship and see the price and then they need to upgrade etc. What I would like to see are shipyards showing ships sold prefitted with various upgrades which would be cheaper than buying a standard ship and then upgrading but these ships will be from the second hand market which means that they will need a bit of maintenance and possibly an item from the standard version may be missing or of an inferior version this way you have the option of buying a standard ship or one that has been optimized for a particular purpose but still has drawbacks.
