Sorry if this has been asked/suggested before. But do you think community goals should help increase your reputation with a major faction (provided the goal was oriented towards them)? Personally I have little interest in participating in community goals for the sake of credit rewards, but I would definitely be taking part if some of them increased my reputation with a major power (the increase would depend on my performance of course).

Indeed. I'd just like some other way of increasing my reputation. After my latest restart I'm at about 25 million in earnings, so I'd like to start thinking about getting a Clipper. But sadly I only have ONE Empire rank at this point, despite doing empire aligned missions and donating millions of credits whenever I get the opportunity. By the time I can actually get the reputation to buy a Clipper, I will be way past it financially and will be looking at bigger ships instead. The process just feels kind of skewed, so I thought Community goals could be decent for giving us additional ways of progressing through the ranks.
I've reset my save many times. I never miss the millions of credits, but I do miss my once maxed out ranks for the Federation and Empire. Had I known, I never would have wiped my save
