Hardware & Technical Should i buy ROG Swift PG278Q monitor

Hi guys ive just spent a grand on pc upgrade.

i7 4670k, Geforce 780, 8Gig Seasonic 600Watt etc...

Now I need a monitor, this one is at the top of my list apart from the price.

Nearly seven hundred pounds

I can't help thinking five hundred is plenty for a 27 inch.

Btw I cant afford the hardware to play a 4k at 60 fps so ill wait 12 months.

If I could afford one, I'd buy one - but that ain't happening any time soon! The other possible alternative is to buy an Asus VG248QE 24-inch monitor and add the DIY nVidia G-sync mod (about £150).

I do not know about you, but I have pre-ordered one for myself.

Im running a 3071MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti which might be similar to yours and a 4k Samsung monitor U28D590 and it's amazing! I think your set-up will run at 4K with no problems. My PSU is somewhere around 600 to 750 tops cant remember exactly but apart from that we have very similar machines. Go for the same monitor as me and use display port, turn of vsync and smile at the graphics... a lot :D

And you dont have to run the 4k monitor at full 4K unless you want to.

And you can get a Samsung U28D590 for betwen 350 and 480 quid. So why go from something that's on it's way out for the same price? Good luck and have fun. NOthing quite like shopping for new computer bits :D
