Should I clear my save?

I do however, get a bad feeling because the game has only been out for 5 or so months and you already feel you have reached "end game" to the point where you want to start again.

If that's not an indication of lack of content what is!
Five months to tap out the content of a game with only an up-front cost and no subscription fee? That's better value than practically any game I've bought in the past five years.

Plus there's a hefty shipment of new content incoming.

Don't clear your save. Just grab a small ship and kit it nicely and make up an adventure like find Thargoid or rob an federal convoy on your own. Get your hands on the antiquities of is in or and so on.. Have fun

It's good that you want to clear your save and start again , still being compelled to want to play the game.

Actually I think its the exact opposite to a lack of content

I am going to clear save not because I have reached an end game but because I have travelled so far along one particular route that

  1. I could have got where I am by a more efficient route
  2. there are things I know now I wish I knew then
  3. There are different ways to play the game - I want to explore another

This will be my second clear save

First time I was a massive trader and always bought the biggest ship I could as soon as I could
.
Second time I outfitted my ships bigger and better before buying new and learnt about bounty hunting and started to learn about ship specialisation
.
Third time who knows?

Im not clear saving because of a LACK of content but because there is more content to explore

Do it. This game is not about the credits, its much more fun to be on the edge of bankruptcy. I wiped several times and never regret it. You should build up a new character with 1.3 anyway, so I suggest you wait for the release or wipe again. It also helps to make up some rules, like no pointless grinding and never boost when leaving/entering a station. Do some "slow gaming" and try to appreciate the sight and the wonders of the galaxy again.

I just recently cleared my save, as a friend bought ED and I decided since I have played since the beginning of Beta, I would re-roll and cruise with them helping them out etc. And after 1 week they quit LOL, Dont like the game.

But honestly it doesnt worry me, its the journey I enjoy, I dont have any plans on the big top tier ships, and never have. I like the FDL and is about as far I will probably climb the ship ladder once again, plus my lil explorer :)

I say if your wanting to clear the save, go for it. After all its only pixels, cant take it with ya when your dead! :)

Do it.
Surely, it's virtually impossible that you'd ever regret it, right ?

/tongue in cheek off

The very fact that you have to ask the question indicates to me that you probably shouldn't.
As already suggested, park your assets, get a sidey and ignore the money you have.
If, after some time, you're not tempted to "go back", you can still wipe your safe.
Test it out before making the decision....a " clear save beta" if you want.

Seriously why would you clear save.. you control what credits you spend.. just store your current ship and buy a sidey and start over.. you dont have to throw away all your progress so far, you can just put your money "dormant" ie spend it all on a ship (or multiple) and store them.. are your really going to throw away all your progress just because you don't have self control? ie you will use your money on the sidey when you dont want to?

If you really intend to clear your save.. buy loads of platinum and abandon it for other players.
