Should i feel guilty because i ram every ship to stardust at entering or leaving a Space Station? No! So why should you Do?

Naaahh. :)

I just got interdicted by the same guy 3 times in a row in my Eagle, just trying to get home after a 'rebel transmission' mission. He was in a decent spec'd Cobra, I had no bounty and no cargo (other than transmissions). I'll give him credit, he was persistent and after 2 failed attempts (which smashed me up pretty nicely) got me in the end...no real idea why, but hey, I was starting to get complacent doing courier runs, so fair enough.

I tried targeting sub systems before and I never have any luck with it.

I usually go for the thrusters so they become sitting ducks, but the ships always blow up before I even get the thrusters down to 60% :/

If you're fighting larger ships (ASP and larger) get some cannons, preferably Class 2. Cannons are wild, they wither do an enormous amount of damage to subsystems, or none at all. but overall, they do more subsystem sniping than any other weapon in the game. Also, if you're planning on using multicannons to sniper subsystems of smaller ships, think again. Use burst lasers, they have decent penetration and low enough damage to snipe small ship subsystems.

Wouldn't a destroyed life support kill the pilot rather instantly?

The timer is when you're on emergency life support after your canopy is breached, but that's a working life support.

That's awesome bro :D

I thought the emergency oxygen was in your suit...I could be wrong though

Not much - just an NPC running on Emergency Oxygen with me just trying to wait him out :D

Yeah - I got that - but it's an NPC. Do you feel guilty if you hit backspace in a text editor (even if you hit it really sadistically)?

Well - if you turn life support off, the remlok mask comes down, so apparently the term "life support" relates to the machinery maintaining a breathable athmosphere on bridge. After that's gone, emergency life support kicks in and apparently it can't be disabled from the menu or with weapon fire.

No, I actually had an NPC destroy my ships life support. I didn't make it to the station in time though because the stupid system security interdicted me :/

nothing more annoying than a rammer...imo now that I understand its possible I,ll just use my thrusters to out manouver other commanders trying that method of winning a dog fight...

after a really good 4hour run earlier, I was just heading to my last station before turning off when out of the blue I was interdicted. so ive swung the ship round to have a good look at the competition when he suddenly swerved down ramming into me instantly destroying my ship. I simply didn't know that was possible at the time but needless to say, It put a downer on an otherwise fun session of ED... I had no bountys and wasn't on a mission and was friendly to all local factions. so all the person got for killing me was a good laugh... such a nice person. must be cool to be him in real life...

I did this in the alpha - followed the npc round for ten minutes and he just wouldn't die.

Ticketed it but it never got a response.

Maybe they fixed it by having system sec come and put them out of their bulging bug-eyed misery :p

Well, apparently the logic in the game for being interdicted by folks that just want to blow you up is they are 'psychopaths' so I guess this one was a suicidal psychopath. Makes as much sense as anything else with the interdictions by both PCs and NPCs who just want to attack your ship for no logical reason.
