Should I move my ships to the Resue fleet carriers?

I don't have my own fleet carrier. Should I move my ships to one of the rescue fleet carriers. I presume that if the Sol bubble goes up in flames, these carriers will be a part of the retreat to Colonia or elsewhere. Does that make sense or is it too early to worry about it?

At least so far, the ships you have at an attacked station are automatically moved to a safe place ( usually so far a rescue ship)

I see. Then if the Sol bubble falls we are retreating into other places and the ships will automatically be moved to the rescue ships. Interesting times.

Ask again in 2-3 years. Right now there is no immediate danger.
Prudence tells us to make contingency plans. Might never need them, but in the event you know what to do. Fleet carrier owners should be stocking up on credits/tritium and adding services (they can be suspended until needed) to allow for prolonged periods in the black. Squadrons should spread the services, but have redundancy amongst their carriers. Non fleet carrier owners should cultivate carrier owners in case a ride is needed. Everyone should scout a bug out location or two.

These activities are just a bit of additional activity/RP. Not essential. It's only a game and there is always the respawn .....

If things get so bad that he FCs have to leave the Bubble, this option might pose some problems. There was recently a thread from a CMDR who spawned in an attack system in a Hauler and couldn't get out due to inter-/hyperdictions. What happens if the starter systems are under attack?

It's of little concern OP, as others have posted, to date Ship's are automatically moved to 'safe places' for free.
Problem with placing all your fleet into 'one basket' someone else's Carrier/Megaship is when that Carrier/Mega ship moves.....so does your fleet.

Worst case scenerio.....the 'goids take complete control & ruin the bubble completely for players.....you've always got a Legacy version to play......unless Frontier 'surprise' us again & ditch that in the future ;).
Wouldn't surprise me if that Legacy version becomes a future 'offline' mode to play, should Frontier close the door on ED/EDO.

But certainly for now & the short to mid term, Ships aren't looking to get destroyed......unless you're actively flying in them🤣

I'm all about contingency planning but in this situation the contingency tree is quite short:

Use a carrier, preferably your own.

TBH I think that the chances of there being literally no stations left is practically zero. The fewer the remaining number of assets humanity has remaining the more player defence will be available for each one & what might loosely be described as degeneracy pressure will hold back the external force. Cmdrs are effectively immortal in the game so genocide cannot happen. What could happen is that the community is sufficiently demotivated that they no longer keep playing, hence the 'preferably your own carrier' caveat. Trust no. one ;)

That is my contingency no.1.
My contingency no.2 consists of a 70ly DBX and 20 ships in Colonia.
That should suffice until the servers shut down.

Cannot disagree with that, however CMDRs might not be so well funded and have to take aby boat in the storm to survive.

I think that we saw a bit of demotivation the week the thargoids and the reset mechanic revealed.

"Trust no. one ;)"

Be a part of a squadron, which should have redundancy built in.
