Why are you still bothering to post if the game upsets you or are you here just to be a pain.
OP, if you want to play now then buy it, if not then it's going to be December 16 before you get the chance again

Exactly. This game looks good, but it's just a gimmick, there is no interesting gameplay or multiplayer/social/mmo features.

Heh I just the opposite I'm glad I can go directly to Sol and fly around.
To the OP. If you are sure you want the game then get beta now. You get some cool perks for doing so, you get a chance to practice before "showtime", and the difference in cost is fairly trivial.
I think maybe our secondary starting location may be in Sol. Maybe it's optional?
It may be best for the game if alpha/beta players started in a different location than everyone else on release day.
Wait for the reviews? Who cares about the reviews? This is a game i've been waiting for decades! I got the beta access and did not regret it. Maybe this game isn't for you Irre, it's not for everyone. And if it isn't, why bother? Why are you still here?

I still havent purchased i know ive got 4 days to purchase Mercenary edition but im still reading that there a quite a few people that are having problems logging in Etc do i bite the bullet and purchase,or wait until release......mmmmmm

Most of the logging in problems the last day or so are due to the update going a bit wrong.
Some people have individual problems but as I haven't crashed since beta I would say the game, as a whole, is stable and very playable
I think it's really easy now:
- Mercenary edition is cheaper (10 euro)
- Mercenary edition has extra goodies
- When buying the Mercenary edition you can play the single player missions NOW (and earn some really valuable experience)
It's a no-brainer imho
I bought the Mercenary Edition two days ago, but I only have access to Battle Tutorials. But even only with these tutorials I can see how amazing the game is. I am happy with my purchase, and I haven't even seen all the features of the game

So...all you guys that have /are playing ED,even with (if youve had any) issues that are still plaguing some people,would you still recommend on your honest opinions

EDIT...The reason is that with a young family my budget is tight..my missus and I have had to tighten the purse strings this Christmas BUT..
she will purchase ED as my Christmas present if i want it..it may be my only present this year and thats why im askin all the questions..Thank you all once again

Well, Adger. To save money, buy the Mercenary version! It kinda sucks that you won't be able to play the game until release. But hey! Release date is now VERY close. And the other bonuses are getting a discount on the price and added extras for buying early. So, it's kinda a no brainer. GO BUY IT NOW!
