Newcomer / Intro Should I trade ni my Eagle for a cobra mk 3?

So i recently traded in my sidewinder for an eagle and got lucky enough to make enough cash to upgrade it...now I have the opportunity to trade in my eagle for a cobra mk3...

are there any cons to doing this besides losing some maneuverability?

The cobra is a cmpletely different type of ship, and over 4 times the mass. It is also a very thirsty mistress, and I recommend getting a fuel scoop right away.

Make sure to have some operating capital so you don't lose everything.

Nope. Even in combat a Cobra will whup an Eagle.... plus more cargo holds, better FSD...

Well since I want to keep hunting wanted targets and pirates what ship should I aim for if not the cobra mk 3?

I'd go for the Cobra, it's big enough to put in extra shield banks and all the kit you need for bounty hunting and still be able to a bit of trading. Your alternative would be the Viper which is a lot more combat orientated but beware the drive which is rubbish and has a really short jump distance.

i'v got a similar dilemma...should i park my Adder (slightly modified) & buy my Cobra or should i strip my Adder & sell it...what do i do!

If combat is your main activity you could consider a Viper over a Cobra, it's faster more manoeuvrable, tougher and cheaper to upgrade and maintain. Vipers have very little room for cargo though so if you trade/run fetch and carry missions at all go with the Cobra.
