The current limit seems too low considering how many different versions of a weapon you can craft and you need multiples of them on each ship. With all the different sizes/gimbals/special effects you can fill up a lot of your storage with just a few weapons. Not to mention all the other components the ship has, plus all the various faction collected parts you need room for. I like to create custom parts of all types and configurations so I can try them in different set ups. I've just started playing Elite again recently and found after just a short time my storage is full.

Module storage is a great little feature because it allows you to quickly find parts when you are upgrading your ship, but it has one flaw. When you run out of storage you are forced to go back to the old flawed system, of filling up your hanger with multiple ships (which you dont need or want to spend money on) and then have to go through a time consuming process to access and install components. Which tells me the limit is too low and is not allowing this new feature to work as intended.

Just curious if anyone else is finding this and would like to see storage capacity increased?

yes, i could do with a bit more. i already purchased some ships to store exploration loadouts, or spare weapons, and joggling with 50 moduls in storage. voted 250, so it doesn't get too messy...

.. but, as far as i know, it was a UI thing, wich already had probems to cope with 60. so i don't expect more space soon. i might go back to having several ships of the same type, i just really dislike the idea of modding more hulls and G5 fsd drives...

Yeah - voted 250 - What it really needs is someway of labelling or organising the modules. I've got 5 modded 4A FSDs but short of installing them I've no idea what their mods do...

Storage could reuse the shop UI, with the categories etc.

you can see the modifications of the stored moduls, though.
