Ok, not a serious suggestion, more of a parody thread, I believe PvP should remain a valid option for those who want to partake in it. But therein lies the nub, because many players do not want to, yet we still end up with day after day someone suggesting that PvEers be forced into open, or in some way disadvantaged for not playing open.
So, let's put the shoe on the other foot for the moment, and consider a post like the following....
PvP must be disabled! It destroys the whole concept of Elite! It turns fathers against sons, mothers against daughters, and grandparents against grandchildren! If PvP isn't disabled this game will surely fail in a matter of months, nay weeks, nay days!!!
FD MUST LISTEN TO ME BECAUSE I KNOW BETTER THAN THEM!
Yes, as you can see, not one of my most well thought out posts, but parodies some of the posts we have seen recently quite well i think, even down to the people who struggle with CAPS LOCK.
So, especially people who call for Solo/groups to be removed or to in some way penalize those who play such mode, and those who support those ideas, how would you feel if someone started demanding that PvP be removed from the game?
PS: It might be wise if you are going to respond to this as if it were a real thread to prefix your post with something like : <parody mode on> or something, just to make sure people don't take you seriously and this whole thread devolves into people telling others to place certain things in certain anatomically improbable places.
