should Silent running Ships appear to look like an asteroid on Radar



this would be cool, to plan ambushes in rings and such,? idk why its not like that allready
 
Or...should the radar work in the main game like it works in CQC...where you can't see / target anything behind a solid structure?
Those asteroid rings would then be a ton of ambush / escape fun!
I'd prefer a mix of the two. Like only when you're in silent running and you go behind an asteroid or a structure do you disappear from enemy scanners. That would be cool.

I do enjoy the cat and mouse game that can be had in CQC but it wouldn't mix well in the main game to have scanners be so inherently limited especially if you're sporting A class scanners. Using silent running to mess with scanners would add strategy and give silent running a purpose in the game once again.
 
Which would most likely get nerfed to death at the next release ;)

The thing is turrets, emissive munitions, thermal shock all counter silent running so it's pointless using it unless your target(s) are only using missiles. This is ignoring the fact that you can't fire in silent running without overheating to stupid levels. Which begs the question why it's it even still in the game?
