Should Vulcan (and other sci-fi planets) be placed in correct system?

So with the recent renaming of WCM Tranfer Station to Leonard Nimoy Station around Vulcan I noticed that it was in system LHS 3006.

As much as I applaud Frontier for honoring our beloved Vulcan, this was the 2nd sci-fi planet/star that I noticed was off or missing.

It could just be a pet peeve of mine, but it would be nice to look up a sci fi planet and actually find it.

I know there is goal to replicate the galaxy as it really is, but it would be nice when these little sci-fi gems are mixed into this game would allow some tweaking of reality to accommodate it.

I could be totally wrong and just missing something or misinformed by my search, please let me know.

I also realize there could also be some conflict with several sci-fi universe's using the same star. I just though this one would take priority since it we are dedicating a station to his memory.

What I found on Vulcan (Star Trek):
Planet Vulcan orbits 40 Eridani A (Gene Roddenberry)*

40 Eridani A is also know as Omicron2 Eridani
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/40_Eridani

Should Vulcan be moved from LHS 3006 to Omicron2 Eridani?

I know that LHS 3006 is a much simpler system and looks better when viewing it on System map.

Planet LV 223 (Aliens)

LV-223 (Varda) is one of three known moons of the gas giant Calpamos, located in Zeta2 Reticuli.

So I found Zeta-2 Reticuli but there are no moons around Zeta 2 only around Zeta-1.

Should the moons be added and named?

Anyways thanks for listening and let me know what you think.

Also thinking about it, there might be a copyright issue, you know how companies and their lawyers are these days.

I think your mistake was that the memorial station was proof that the Planet Vulcan it orbited was a ST reference.
40/Omicron-2 Eridani is an actual star isnt it, hence its inclusion.
Vulcan in orbit of LSH 3006 was named after the Roman God.
Only when the call for a Station to be renamed in Memoria did the Dev decide it would be the Vulcan in orbit of LHS 3006 thus repurposing the planet as a ST reference as with the name Vulcan it seemed the most fitting.

Nice idea though, would make for good Easter Eggs:
Yavin IV
Klendathu
Hera
Devil's Planet
Hoth (large icy planet!)
Edmunds
Waxworld...
