This is a user experience of imperial cutter.
Should you buy this ship? No.
For it's price tag and grind required, the imperial is not worth your money.
1. Jump range
It's generic, I got 22ly on combat build and 20 on cargo. 7A fully engineered somehow have shorter jump range than 6A on anaconda. Umm I'll still say enough for most of your purpose on this ship. You got 64 tons of fuel tank which makes it possible for longer jump before refueling.
2. Maneuver
This ship could be very fast with my B grade not fully engineered thrusters. Impressive 420m/s
But beside accelerating all other is garbage. Slowest ship to turn, pitch, yaw... And it's pain in the @$$ to slow down. They could have install more thrusters beside back. You also can't land this ship on any planet with high gravity velocity. You also need to expect lots of squeaky ducks when docking.
3. Combat
With it's class 8 slot you could install really good should tank build. And one more class 8 for shield cell bank. I have bi wave shield on with 7 shield cell bank running basic resistance shield engineering and I get around 2500 shield with 20% thermal resistance. This thing drains your system pips rapidly. As I said with that bad maneuverability you won't be facing your enemy most of the time. It comes with 2 class 5 military optional slots which is perfect for a fighter hanger, get an elite AI and you should be good. I found this ship performs better at conflict zone then bounty hunting.
I really don't know how and which find you put on this thing.
This is all for pve only.
4. Trading
I get 720 tons of cargo space. You could get more if you don't want the shields. 20ly fully loaded 29ly empty. This is my active ship for the community goal right now and I got into top 10 commanders. Not top 10%.
5. Design
The cockpit glass is bad with lights reflection. The bottom dash board takes 1/3 of your screen. The cockpit is located at the right seat of the front. Imperial cutter like like a futuristic plane with extremely good thrusting and boosting sound effects. Also don't buy the ship kit I tried they looks terrible.
Overall this is a luxury multipurpose ship with great shielding and top speed. There is better alternative with cheaper price tag such as anaconda which have higher jump range and better maneuverability. Get anaconda instead.
