Should you see your ship dock after transfer timer is up?

When requesting a ship transfer, should we be able to watch it dock with the station?
Obviously there's the chance that a player or AI mishap could cause it's destruction, but I figure the transfer company's insurance would cover that, and you would still have it available as if it had docked.

Just imagine sitting on a pad, watching the mail slot, and seeing the ship you requested flying through and docking...knowing that it's YOUR ship.

Edit: Not a forced (You have to watch it) I mean actually have the ship jump in at the station in the game world and dock, so it doesn't just magically appear in available ships.

Thoughts?

Well we can watch our ships retrun to us when in the SRV when on a planet so why not have it in the Starbase too?

Keep a 1st person option so we can watch it from ur ship or have an in cockpit monitor view relayed to us from the Starbase view(a kind of screen in screen view).

Yeh, and i would still say that you wouldnt bother using it.

Average for ship transfer is 15 minutes, in some cases hours or days.

I doubt anyone is going to hang about for 15 minutes just to watch their ship dock more than once.

I request the transfer.... launch and go splode things. i dont even notice the message i get telling me my ship has arrived.

First time I transferred a ship i happened to find myself on the landing pad when it was due to arrive and I admit that I was wondering if I'd see it arrive.

Course, there aren't just cosmetic implications to seeing a ship arrive.
If it's an in-game asset it is vulnerable to damage and it'd only be a matter of time before killjoys started blasting ships during transit.
Far simpler just to have them magically teleport from shipyard to shipyard.
