Show player powerplay allies as a different colour on the radar, as with NPCs.

Squadron mates are green on the radar. Allied powerplay NPCs are green on the radar. Allied players not in my squadron are... orange like everyone else.
If I see a hollow pip in supercruise or randomly hanging around a station it would be good to know if they're a friend.

ADMITTEDLY GIVEN THE FRIENDS I KEEP THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WON'T STILL TRY TO KILL ME but it'd still be nice to have that information. Maybe dark green or yellow or something to distinguish them in some way?

Arnt NPCs and Players a different shape?

The different shape depends on whether or not they have weapons deployed, triangle, weapons ready, square, weapons stowed.
Triangle can just mean hardpoints deployed to scan, it doesn’t require weapons to be present. But they usually are.

Oh that's right, hardpoints not necessarily a weapon, still if I see a hollow pointy thing coming at me I am going to assume weapons lol!
don't trust squares either, 'cause an interdiction doesn't turn a square into a triangle until they actually pull the trigger.
