I recently crumbled and bought the yellow lasers - trying to make my Cutter as close to a B5 Whitestar as possible (like my model in Sig).
Will crumble again most likely, if they ever do kit/paintjobs for said Cutter [where is it]

No, we are the reason that you haven't had to pay a dime for two years and yet you will still continue to get updates that are very expensive to develop; other people choosing to pay for ongoing Elite development for you and for everyone
But that's not really relevant because you do have this sort of stuff in-game, like you used to. The regular cosmetics you can only get in-game, and there are now also extra cosmetics you can only get in-store, and there are also extra cosmetics you can only get in person. You seem to suggest that these additional cosmetics made for (and funded by) the store would have been budgeted for and created and offered to players free if FDev couldn't sell them, but the reality is simply that most of those extra cosmetics would not have been created in the first place; their creation costs and lack of gameplay making them a poor area to spend the budget of that lower-budget game vs. their creation costs paying for themselves and increasing the overall production budget.
