Showing FPS inside The Rift

Ronseal.

I've tried Fraps, nada. Shadowplay put the rift into Direct Mode and still no FPS shown. Ingame FPS option obviously doesn't work.

What do you use?

CTRL-F does overlay the (E: D calculated) FPS on the bottom left of the display. Unfortunately that area is barely visible through the rift itself unless you physically remove the left lens. If you put the rift in Direct mode then it copies the render output to the primary monitor (at least it does on mine), and you can see the FPS indicator without needing to remove lenses

I only ever saw 37.5 fps or less when I did that, so I can only assume there's a divide by 2 going on somewhere (half of 75fps).

use MSI afterburner and Riva
enable display settings in Riva and the FPS setting and use 300 x 300 for the coordinates (or whatever works for your desired resolution)

MSI at 300x300 work for me. this method to put CTRL-F in your main monitor don't work for me as it show 60fps which is the max I can reach with my main Monitor, and MSI show 75fps inside the Rift, so the method is not good for eveyone (at least not for me). And no, my main monitor can't go to more than 60 fps unless I set a smaller resolution like 1280x1024x75Hz with is not useful ;)

PLAYCLAW 5

It is the only monitoring program you will need. You can view GPU, cpu, fps etc as you like and reposition each monitor to suit, making it perfect for the rift.
This question gets asked time and time again and I have yet to find a better program :)
