SIAP: Transferring Parks into Steam Database

Will we be able to transfer our parks to the steam database when Alpha 3 releases? I'm assuming there must be a way to do this. Will Steam do this automatically, or will we have to manually move the files into the correct folder? If we have to move them manually, can anyone briefly explain how this works? I'm sorry if this is a redundant thread and question, but I really don't want to lose my current parks going forward. Thanks ahead of time?

Steams just a launcher the game remains the same on steam. The game will tell what folder the saves are in and steam will just load from there. Simples.

But, It is possible for Steam to back up all your game info in case of a crash, so when you reinstall it will the saved games be in the same location.

Do you guys even realize that your current parks might be completely ruined when alpha3 is live? The game is in alpha stage so it could be that alpha 2 parks are not the same anymore in the alpha3 version.
Another thing is, you will have a lot of new opportunities and stuff in alpha3, I think there will not be a lot of people who will continue working on alpha2 parks in the alpha3 version.

Answered in the Announcement thread.

I have one more question if anybody knows. What would happen with our parks saved? Would we be able to play with them in steam?

Hello!

Your parks and saves will remain in the transition to Steam, much in the same way as they did from Alpha 1 to Alpha 2.
Because of all the improvements we're adding to the game, there's a small chance there might be a couple of tweaks and changes you'll need to make to your parks to get them back to exactly how they were. We hope all the cool stuff we're adding will make you want to update your parks anyway!
That said, we're doing our best to make sure any kinks are as minimal as possible :D
