Side panel issue? What side panel issue?

People say edtracker/opentrack has problems with side panels or something.

I don't know what these side panels are, but what's the issue on the software's part? Do you need something new implemented for proper ED operation?

Next time please go through proper channels. I troll here but opentrack's bug tracker's way more reliable than my forum search function usage.

When using TrackIR, there is no control of "UI focus" or direct mapping of side panel windows to buttons. It's simply overriden by TrackIR input. The only "fix" is to pause TrackIR, and then use focus/direct buttons, however the pausing is delayed, or rather ED's detection that it paused and that it needs to stop overriding.

As far as I am aware, EDTracker uses a virtual joystick axis, not TrackIR protocol, so there is no problem with EDTracker

Using Maxim's TrackIR profile, use of it is easy and near perfect. It creates a movement deadzone over the two panels...

It just comes down to people not knowing how to set up their own curves. Granted EDtracker software needs a bit of work in that respect but what it does, it does really well. Been using it over opentrack for a while now.
