Side Panels going crazy in VR when I look at them

So I play in VR with a Vive (not that should make a difference) . I love the experience but when looking at either of the side panels they pop up and close very quickly and it seems to be based on a small range of head movement. Is there some setting that controls this in VR?

any help is much appriciated

That drives be potty and yes you can change how it works. Burred in the control options under mode switches you can stop them popping up when you look at them. Change all the ‘focuses the panel’ to ‘does nothing’.

If you have an x52 then you hold down the pinky trigger and move the hat switch in the direction where panel is to open it. Once you are finished tap the pinky trigger to close it again. So nav panel would be pinky + left on the hat, then tap pinky to close again.

If you don’t have an x52 then I don’t know how it works when set to doing nothing.

Good luck!

Well I do understand the Does Nothing settings but didn’t think that applied to VR.

I turned that off ages ago when I got my trackir. Keeping your head on a swivel during combat is not fun with this thing popping up and down like a cocker spaniel.
