Ships Sidewinder 2

Dear Frontier! I really like the game Elite Dangerous and I also think it is great that the game gets so many updates and so many new ships fantastic! But my favorite ship is still the sidewinder especially because it is so small and the cockpit with that wide view I think is the best cockpit ever.

My question is Will you please make a sidewinder 2 with the same cockpit but more possibilities for fuel and more jump range about 55-60ly and of course also a higher class for fuel scoop? Like the Cobra mk3. I am a member of the Fuelrats but I want to do that with my favorite ship the Sidewinder and unfortunately the current one is still not good enough.

Isn't that the whole point of the Sidewinder, though? That it isn't "good enough" for lots of things? A ship with a jump range around 60 ly, more compartments and a bigger fuel tank just wouldn't be a Sidewinder, it would be a Dolphin or a Cobra Mk V.

It's like wanting an Isetta, but with the specs of a VW Golf Mk8. This imaginary car would cease to be an Isetta.

As much as I love the Sidewinder, I very much doubt FD will introduce a MK2 version anytime soon.

I understand that the Mandalay has become the go-to ship for the Fuel Rats but if it's not to your taste then the Cobra Mk5 seems to fit your needs.

Well, I think the Cobra Mk III is pretty much essentially a Sidewinder On Steroids (even up to its visual design). It also makes a decent ratship for bubble rescues. Not the best, of course, but passable.

(Of course you could also opt for the Cobra Mk V, which is pretty much a Cobra Mk III On Steroids, and would work even better as a ratship.)

True. I have a Cobra mk III also 60ly and I also have an Anaconda (Rataconda) with 75ly still I like the cockpit of the sidewinder much better :D

Of course the Mandalay is currently the best ratship, as it's very maneuverable, optimized for SCO, jump ranges rivaling those of the Anaconda (you can easily get over 80 Ly for a perfectly fine ratship build), and enough modules space for short range and long rage rescues. Perhaps only downside is not the best possible canopy view.
