Sidewinder Challenge

So, time for some old fashioned fun. I'm creating a player driven challenge. The Sidewinder Challenge.

The Rules:
Must fly only a Sidewinder, you may kit however you like and engineer upgrades are allowed up to grade 2 only.

Tasks:
Fight and survive in a Haz Rez or HCZ for 20 minutes
Trade 1,000,000 worth of goods
Explore minimum of 5000LY
Kill another player

We can add tasks to the challenge. This is of course self monitored, let's keep integrity and be honest. If you've done any of these, redo them lol.

I plan to start my own Challenge this weekend. Good luck everyone who participates

Kill another player? We know that will never happen lol, maybe rephrase to "make another player disappear while using a sidewinder". As for the other combat challenges. Done, I have actually been having a blast in my sheildless sidewinder. If you have the stomach to use constant roll tactics the NPC seem to have immense trouble hitting you. Untill you come across one with rails.... Funny that.

I can already picture a wing of 4 sidewinders ganking traders at CG's.

Now this is a thread I would like to see (but not specifically on XB forum). It seems so many players are under the opinion that flying/fighting W/the 'winder is easy, easy to make Cr fast, & easy to win fights. I've played it on 2.1 and I know better, and what's worse according to the devs their upcoming changes may make it even harder. The problem seems to me like they are rebalancing assuming you have most of your modules heavily modified by RNGneers. I think the long-time players will be surprised at the difficulty using the 'winder now. Not saying it is extremely hard, just saying it's not easy, and after 2.2.02 you don't make Cr like they used to.

So I would really be tickled if many players accept this and post their findings. Thank you.

Profit I think is better.

As far as killing other players, has to be a kill. Perhaps other Sidewinder challengers should duel to the death to meet this one

I have always flown an A rated Sidewinder when I want to try less than smart ideas. Or just zoom around in the little guy. I got the inspiration for this from our own Xbox mods signature image lol. Guess I need to share some credit with Dusty.

Very much harder. That cargo space. Some decent knowledge of trade is worthwhile here. I'm thinking rare goods. We need to shake thing up, some of us been flying super mega ships too long

Couple months ago I bought a stock Suiceinder to ditch a bounty that was annoying me. Flew to Hi-RES in the system I was wanted in and cops didn't want to scan me and kill me. ENded up racking up about 250,000 in bounties killing wanted NPC's including a Python in the Sidewinder and eventually had to resort to shooting cops to get them to kill me. It's amazing how much difference being better at the game makes, even in a crap ship, compared to when you first started.

Sidewinder is op. For a real cz challenge, take a stock hauler with no kitting whatsoever. Yes, I have done this. Idk about for 20mins though

Brutal! I wanted my Challenge to be fun. Otherwise I'd say fly to Sag A with a stock eagle. Just cruel.

Lol, by "stock" I would assume that means no scoop or AFMU. LMAO!!! fuel rats would be busy...

. You didnt say shoot anything avoidance is easy if you dont start shooting

Cant remember if I dont this BUT will check

. Checking it out it seems this is the only one I havent done yet

. Interdicting a A-Spec Sidey in another Sidey is just cruel to start shooting at random is daft

EDIT: oops didnt realise this was a XBox thread, mine was done on a i3-M330 laptop (yeah framerate is not good sometimes BUT its got me where I am now

AkimuMC, you just helped me come up with a new challenge. Fly to Sag A with no fuel scoop, team up with one fuel rat. Make those limpets count boys

Ah OK well I did destroy some of em but I was skirting the sides to stay out of the massive group in the middle, was a hectic fight and one that cost me over two thousand in repairs

It is a shame that they keep us PC players away from you XBoxers. Duelling to the death in Sidewinders is a lot of fun.

One thing we do share is our experiences in the game. We have been doing Fighter Club for a few weeks now. I've been trying to suss out some fun things for a bunch of suicidal Sidewinders can do in the half hour or so after we've finished duelling.
